Canada is currently having a huge debate on the implications of a Free Trade deal with the U.S. Any comments?

RE .1 What about all the small businesses it will benefit??? I know some Canadians will be hurt by it, or maybe "inconvenienced" is a more appropriate word, but I see it as an opportunity for Canadians to really take advantage of the American Marketplace. Japan, Israel and the EEC would probably love to have an agreement in principle such as we do with the Americans. If we don't get one now, we'll only have to get one later and if later, I don't believe it will be as good as this one seems to be. I guess that makes me "Pro Free Trade" Glenn |
