Leafs skate out of fog to win in overtime
-----------------------------------------

Maple Leafs 5, Red Wings 4 (OT)

TORONTO (CP) - Russ Courtnall's overtime winner and splendid performances by
Miroslav Frycer and Tom Fergus helped disperse the fog that
has been enveloping the Toronto Maple leafs on home ice.
Capping a Leaf rally from 3-0 and 4-1 deficits, Courtnall
netted the winning goal at 2:21 of overtime against Detroit in
the lone NHL game Monday night. The victory ended Toronto's
five-game losing streak and a five-game Red Wings winning
	       streak.

The Norris Division at a glance:

	  G W L T P
Detroit 25 13 10 2 28
Toronto 27 11 14 2 24
Minnesota 27 10 13 4 24
Chicago 27 10 15 2 22
St. Louis 25 9 14 2 20

Hope this keeps you going for awhile,

26.16I knew Calgary when...FDCV06::BEAIRSTOOften wrong but rarely in doubtTue Jul 19 1988 01:0914
I was born in Lethbridge, raised in Calgary. Lived in or around
Massachusetts for 20+ years, now work in Maynard. Despite my long
expatriation, I just can't get the Canadian out of me. (Is there a
convention in this conference for typing 'out' the way it's supposed to
    be pronounced?)

Considering the choices for president this year, I'm thinking seriously
about trying to land a job in Calgary or Vancouver (depending on which
relatives I want to live close to.) Any recent updates to note 67, VTX
    job postings?

Sure is great to type 'O Canada' and have this conference appear.

One more to the list of greats. I agree with you Linda. There's
nothing I miss more than the french fries, cheese and french chicken
gravy. I can relate to that? I'll be returning again next month.
    Don't want to sound unpatriotic but there's a carnival(pronounced
the french way) of the worlds every year at this time. You have
to go to experience this show. Five days of song and dance by countries
all over the world.(old and new dances). I'll be more than willing
to give you an earfull when I return after the 9th of july.

    better late than never.

From: Verdun, Quebec. (outside of Montreal).
Spent 5 years in Newfoundland in the Canadian Armed Forces.
Married an American in Nfld (oh well, I was young). Have been living
in Colorado for the last 10 years.

What do I miss? I am always asking my Mom to send out Sponge toffee,
Coffee Crisp Bars, and Humptey Dumptey BBQ chips. Also, Nectar...the
soda stuff kinda like cream soda, but not quite.

Habs fan all the way, and I HATE the Bruins, like any other self
    respecting Montrealer.

Anyone out there from Verdun? I get plenty homesick too sometimes.
