Hi, Customer has a DEChub 900 running software V4.1.1 which has,among other modules, two Brouter 90 T2s in it. If he uses ClearVISN Multichassis Manager to obtain the hub view and double click on either of the Brouters he gets the message "No agent specified for the slot MAC address" He can access the other modules in the hub ok. However if tries to access one of the brouters directly i.e specify it as the Agent when starting Multichassis Manager he can access it ok. Question is why can he not access these brouters via the hub view? I don't have experience of ClearVISN products, any help on this will be appreciated. Thanks Riaz

1291.1 | Add DECbrouter to Agent Table | FOUNDR::SHEEHAN | Wed Apr 09 1997 17:54 | 17 | |
Hi Riaz, The DECbrouter can't be a hub "management agent" although it can be queried by MultiChassis Manager "Specify Agent" which uses snmp gets to the routers IP Address to get the router specific information. If you want to be able to access the DECbrouter from the HUB then you need to add the DECbrouter to the Agent Table. Once the DECbrouter Agent info is entered to the Agent Database then when you select the DECbrouter from the "HUB View" it will know the DECbrouter's IP address and thus show the DECbrouter information.
