Can someone tell me if the DB90 can handle remote bridging of 56KBPS lines? I am trying to determine if Routeabout or DECbrouter will be the better performer. I realize that 56KB is my throttle, but wonder if a preference remains. can the 2 line DB90 handle 2 bridged circuits at 56KBPS? Should I stay with 1 line per module? At the central site there will be either 6 DB90-t2 or a DECNIS 500 I fear teh DECNIS may not handle 12 bridged 56kbps lines as well as multiple DB90's. Comments welcome marty

Hi Marty, Either the DECbrouter or the RouteAbout EW will bridge 56kb out both WAN ports. See Note # 31 for Multiprotocol and Note # 107. for Bridged DECbrouter performance data. Unfortunately I don't have a pointer to the RouteAbout numbers but you may find them in the IROCZ::COMMON_BROUTERS conference. Regards, Neil Sheehan NPS/NSTG Router Support |
