622.14 | Any E1's problem Progress? | NETRIX::"[email protected]" | Gian Carlo Casadei | Wed Apr 09 1997 14:32 | 20 |
| Hi everybody,
I have the same exact problem as stated in .5 and I want to know if there is
any conclusion. One of our customers have two DEWBR-N (rev.=A01), one with
IOS 10.3 and the other with IOS 9.14, between them they have two RAD ASM-40
modems connected with V.35 cables to the BR90T2s and 4 pair twisted cable in
the connection modem-to-modem.
Everything works O.K. up to T1 speed, but at E1 (2048 Kbps) speed the
interface goes DOWN. We tried doing local loopback and the results were the
same, O.K. up to T1, Interface DOWN for E1.
I will appreciate if someone could help me in this issue or just share the
answer given in the escalation process mentioned in .12.
Thanks in advance,
Gian Carlo Casadei

622.15 | Known problems with RAD Modems | FOUNDR::SHEEHAN | | Tue Apr 15 1997 12:05 | 15 |
| Hi Gian Carlo,
There have been multiple entries in the Common Brouters
notes confrerence relating to RAD ASM-40 Short Range modems
at 2048kbps EI speeds. See notes 580 and 657 in the notes
conference IROC::COMMON_BROUTERS See 580.7 for DECbrouter
mention of RAD modem not working.
I'l check if there is a list of supported Sync modems/CSU's
which have been qualified with the DECbrouter at E1 Speed.

622.16 | maybe not only RAD problem | NNTPD::"[email protected]" | Gian Carlo Casadei | Wed Apr 16 1997 11:12 | 20 |
| Hi Neil,
I read the NOTES you mentioned in .-1 but why, if the problem is a Sync's
lost,
in a local loopback don't work ? And also, the same customer have another
connection with ASM-40 at E1 but the only difference is that there they are
using CISCOs and it works O.K. To me seems an incompatibility between RADs and
DECbrouters.
By the way, did you found the list of supported Sync modems/CSU's which have
been qualified with the DECbrouter at E1 Speed ? That will help us in the
future,
so we could recommend only those wich are supported (are we doing things like
MICROSOFT??? 8>( I'm sorry for the comparison !!!).
Thanks in advance for your help.
