Hi,
I have a "vanilla" VS4000-Model 60 with the standard graphics
card driving a VR297 monitor. I have added a turbochannel card
and was hoping to use a PMAG-C card and a VRT19-D3 screen "lifted"
from a redundant DECstation 5000-200 . On installing it all,so far
I have got no graphics at all. Should this work,or am I doing
something wrong please ?

The VAXstation 4000 model 60 and most recent versions of DECwindows Motif (V1.2-3, V1.2-4) can drive multiple monitors -- take a look in the DECW$PRIVATE_SERVER_SETUP.TEMPLATE file for details on how to set up the displays. By "no graphics", do you have no graphics on any video display, or no graphics on the new display? | |||||

Hi Steve,
thanks for your interest.I am not looking to have multiple
heads,just a nice big screen,and tasty graphics...
When I say no graphics,I mean that there is absolutely no output
from the screen at all. I intend to look at the console port today
to find out if the system is talking, and I guess I need to test the
turbochannel/PMAG-C/VRT19 in a working system, but it just seems to
kill the system stone dead.. Original configuration still works
though..

A PMAG is NOT on the supported options list, so that should be removed
first.
