Hi,
From SOC, TZ30 should be installed in SZ16 expansion box. One customer
wants to install TZ30 inside a VAXstation 4060 as they don't have a
SZ16 box.
Is there any suitable mounting kit available ? Any body has similar
experience ?
Thanks in advance,
Jimmy Wong - HKMCS

After looking at my old SOC's, I don't think the TZ30 was ever
qualified in the 4060, so I doubt that mounting hardware would have
been created.

I'd replace the TZ30 with a more recent device, as this will greatly reduce the number of cassettes needed for BACKUPs of recent-generation disks. Most current-generation TZKnn drives -- confirm that the particular model being ordered can, before ordering -- can read TK50/TZ30-class cassettes. I'd also use a TZK-class drive qualified for use in StorageWorks. If the customer insists on reusing the TZ30 -- or has a need to write TZ30-class cassettes -- then I'd spend my time looking for an SZ16... | |||||
