4161.0. "whats in a workspace after an exception ?" by MUNICH::KRAUTNER () Fri May 02 1997 12:52
Hi everybody,
if my task encounters an error (i.e. sql-errors) it provides a usefull
description in a workspace. Then 'acms$raise_nonrec_exception' is called.
Inside the TDF file 'get message into' is used to retrieve the text belonging
to the exception and copy it into the same workspace.
I thought this would deliver a returnstatus, its textual representation and
my own description back to the caller of the task.
Unfortunately the description is always missing at the callers side.
It seems to me that i only get back what i've put into the workspace from
within the TDF File.
I must admit that i'm new in the ACMS world, and therefore i don't know
what i can expect to be in the workspace in errorcases. I noticed when i
don't raise an exception i see my description.
I hope someone can give me a answer.
Thanks in advace
Juergen
