| Could you supply the versions for ACMS, DECforms, and VMS (VAX or ALPHA).
Also, was there anything in the SWLUP log around that time? Any dumps?
What happened after the error, did the user hang or exit? What about other
users in the same CP or different CPs?
Also it would help to do things like ACMS/SHOW SYSTEM, ACMS/SHOW TASK,
and ACMS/SHOW USER to give a better picture of what's going on.

| Amir,
Here's something to try. According to Chapter 6 of the "Managing Applications
Manual" the ACC and CP processes must have access to all cache files in order
to transfer perform automatic distribution (See section 6.4.1).
Check to see that the protection on your application and form files is
set so they can be accessed by those processes.

4148.3 | The additional info - thanks. | TAV02::KLEIN | | Sun Apr 13 1997 04:58 | 35 |
| Hi,
Rep .2, .3
First thank's for the quick reference.
Some more info -
1. ACMS v4.0-0, DECforms v1.4-13, and VMS/VAX (only) 6.1
2. The problem looks like -
> They do NOT use the automatic distribution option of ACMS but do it
manually by themselves.
> Copy the new FORM (application updated form) to the production environment
forms location.
> Get some times on the new form the error. Other users continue to work.
> Shut down the application and restart it - continue to work fine.
> Continue to work until new form is being copy which then might (or NOT)
cause the error again and the loop goes on.
3. This seem to be no relevance to security issue (file protection etc.) as it
work after application restart.
4. It seem to be some sync. problem. Thus can you provide us with the logic
that is being used to verify when/ why the forms need to be cached again
and what can cause it to fail ?
Thank's
