Hi,
If I understand correctly, ACMS workspaces are not naturally ailgned on
Alpha platform.
The result is that the whole ACMS application (COBOL,DECforms,SQL
Module) has to be built with no member alignment.
This should have a performance penalty.
Is there any plan to support member alignment in ACMS ?

No, there are no plans to align the data. If we did, we'd
lose compatibility between the Alpha and VAX platforms.

So why don't you add it as a compilation option like Cobol, and
DECforms has, So that sites which use only Alpha can use alignment and
get the extra performance benefits ?

Has anyone seen any tests showing that alignment vs non-alignment
has any performance penalties?
