1336.11Twin Oaks reopened, how is it?SALEM::VARNEYTue Feb 18 1997 12:145
    Twin Oaks has reopened and I am wondering if anyone knows if it is
    under new ownership, same ownership, we want a couple of years ago
    and it was excellent....any news would be appreciated.

1336.12Yes, its a new ownerPOWDML::CRIMERNo Personal NameTue Feb 18 1997 13:2710
    I live in Steling and saw an article in the weekly paper about it a few
    weeks ago. Yes, its all new ownership, though the new owner worked there
    once a upon a time. The new owner is a local business person. I think
    that he got involved with the Twin Oaks recently through his
    construction business. All of these details were in the article.

    I seem to remember from the article that they were going to start up
    for dinner only then add lunch after a few weeks (or maybe it was the
    other way around). I never ate there under the old regime, so I don't
    have a comparison. Sorry that's all that I can tell you.
1336.13Still very good!NETCAD::DREYERI need a vacation!!Tue Mar 25 1997 12:0614
We went to Twin Oaks a couple of weeks ago, and were very pleased. It's all
freshened up. There is now a large bar room on the left side, with several
tables that you can eat at. The one thing I didn't like is that the dining
area is one very large room, it could use some dividers to make it feel more
intimate. We both had the prime ribs, they were excellent. This is a great
place to have a large gathering.

They start you off with a nice cheese bread, assorted crackers and breads,
though I remember the cheese spread being zippier before and an even larger
assortment of breads.

Still haven't paved that long driveway though!
