A customer of mine is trying to get dsrlogout to work on a port setting on a Decserver 90m. It works fine where his internal wiring is 6 wire. Where it is 4 wire he had to get his cabling contractor to make up an adapter to get PPP to work but dsrlogout doesn't work. He needs to log out the port everytime he exits a ppp session. Does anyone know how to get dsrlogout to function on a 4 wire network. [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

RE: .0 > Does anyone know how to get dsrlogout to function on a 4 wire network. Which four wires? DS90M is DEC423, so that the old RS232 three-wire is now DEC423 four-wire: Transmit Data, Transmit Common, Receive Data, Recieve Common. If DTR is included in the four wires, which other signal is left out? Regards, Dave |
