Is the DS90TL EOL?
I don't find it in the price list any more. Given the funky memory
simm requirements, I wouldn't be surpriced that it was discontinued...
What is the recommended replacement(s)?

Yes.

DS90M w/o Flash RAM. I suppose you'll want a part number now?

We settled on the 90TL a number of years ago and we now have about 40 of them and prefer them over the 90L+ mostly because of easier TSM use. The external web pages have been updated and the 90TL has mostly been removed, but the only part number given for the 90M is -DA and -NA. The -AA and -MA are not listed, but I suspect that those prices are more in line with the old 90TL pricing, and they are about $500 less USLP. Btw, what I most dislike about the 90L+ is the requirement to use PASTHRU and then use the "menu"s as opposed to just issuing the SET SERVER or SET PORT commands to TSM. Again its just a matter of habit and preference.

| 3491.5 | Prices and costs | TWICK::PETTENGILL | mulp | Thu Apr 10 1997 02:22 | 6 |
fwiw, I had a chance to check the price and costs of the 90TL vs 90M w/o flash. Guess what, the US list is identical for each and the the std cost of the 90M is $3+ less. As is typical for volume parts, newer is cheaper, and better. Looks like some good product management; wish there were more for some other parts of the company.
