My customer will upgrade VMS from V5.5-2 to VMS V6.2. He is using the following servers. DECSERVER 100 V2.0 DECSERVER 200 V3.3 DECSERVER 300 V2.2 DECSERVER 700 V1.1B I would like to know that what version of server software that supports VMS V6.2 ? I checked compatibility chart, it seems that all servers are installed the upgdated version, but this version is not mentioned to support VMS V6.2. I also checked retired layers products, it seems there is no black and white to mention which servers are out-of-date. Aby advice should be appreciated.

> I would like to know that what version of server software that supports > VMS V6.2 ? There's really nothing in the server software which depends on OpenVMS, other than for downline loading. Related pieces of software such as TMS do have requirements since they actually run on an OpenVMS system. Since downline loading images is an important feature of OpenVMS (DECnet, actually) that's almost guaranteed not to be broken from one release to another, upgrading from V5.5 to V6.2 shouldn't cause any problems with your DECserver software. RE: .1 > Related pieces of software such as TMS... Jim means TSM, Terminal Server Manager. TMS is Travel Management System, which is something else again! :-) Regards, Dave |
