Hello,

Our customer forgot the "set privilege" password of a DS550.  I have gone
through several DS500/550 manuals without any help.  How can I restore to
factory default settings which is not password protected.

If you don't have an unaltered backup copy of it, I suspect you'll have to
reinstall the load image software kit.

    Try this:
    
    On the system that is the load host for the DECserver 500, do:
    
    $run ds5cfg
    !put in the image name
    
    tsc>define server priv password "whatever"
    
    exit out 
    
    Reboot the terminal server.
