HI. Customer have about 5 DS700 with Network access sw v2.0 BL10-40 rom v4.0-0, 4 Mb mem, using PPP on ports and connecting via LAT with one host. All the DS700 with 100% cpu peaks, and 20-30% mem, about 1000 Resource Errors in one day and about 100 User Buffer unavailable per day. They are adquiring data via serial ports, and transferrig via lat to host, an the symptom is telnet session hangs on PPP. Any clue for this situation? Thanks in advance

I'm confused: if the customer is using LAT to connect from a host to a serial port on the DS700 so they can acquire data from that port, how does PPP and Telnet enter into the picture? Are they using Telnet for some other purpose? > 100 User Buffer unavailable per day This is not a cause for concern. This counter gets bumped for "expected" conditions. I don't know why the Telnet session is hanging. What steps have you taken so far to investigate this problem (i.e., counters, displays, LAN sniffer/analyzer, etc.)? Jim | |||||

Hi. I have a customer with 5 DS700 with Network Access SW v2.0 DS700 BL10.40 ROM v4.0-0. all of them with 100% cpu, and 1500 resource errors per day, and 800 user buffer unavailable. DS700 are with PPP conections on serial ports and connecting via LAT with host on EThernet. The problem is session hangs on the DS700. Any suggestion?? Thx. in advance | |||||
