I have a customer with a DECserver900TM, running NAS v1.5 BL95D-34. printing from VMS 6.2, the LTA is setup with nobroadcast. When the systems administrator sends a broadcast (reply /all), the message comes out on the printer. The customer claims to have had the same problem on a DECserver90, and this was fixed by a patch. Any ideas

We used to hear that one a lot back when my team took Decserver printing calls. The customer was always adamant that there was only one LTA mapped to that Decserver port and it was set nobroadcast. Some even hinted of a magic patch that would correct this. They were always amazed when they finally found the other LTA device mapped to that same Decserver port, (either on that same system or another node) and not set nobroadcast. DAP | |||||

Thanks for the info. This was 2 LTA's mapped to the same port as you suggested. Thanks again Neil |
