3419.0. "DRAS database handling" by NETRIX::"[email protected]" (Dominique Gerald Cimafranca) Fri Jan 24 1997 07:48

Hullo, it's me again, with another chapter in the never-ending (it seems) saga
of DRAS V1.0, NAS V2.0, and DECserver 900TMs.

I've noticed that with DRAS V1.0 running on Windows NT 3.51, the Accounting
database extraction (Tools->accounting) command doesn't show all the logon
activities. To elucidate: after starting DRAS with a fresh database,
accounting
shows the correct logins and logouts. However, it never goes past a certain
number of lines. The accounting report just stops! I checked the
drasacct.dat
database, and yes, it is growing as the logins come, but no dice on the
accounting.

Second, the database can't seem to manage large numbers of groups. We have
created groups A to Z but not all of them come out in the scroll down bars nor
on the RADIUS objects on the main screen of DRAS.

This is getting quite frustrating. Any relief from more experienced quarters?
Would appreciate the help greatly.

In the meantime, I'll try to have a go at the Unix version.

Thanks in advance.

For the problem where the Tools | Accounting fails to show all of the
records, are you using the updated accounting DLL from the
www.service.digital.com/netrider pages or are you using the accounting
DLL that shiped in the original kit?

As far as the V1 DRAS Manager, we are providing a replacement in the
next release. I don't think the problem with groups not showing up
would be a database problem. More likely it is the Manager.
