Using the VT100 keymap or changing the keypad to numeric after connecting
if the VT220 keymap is used, almost does the trick. But the customer would
ofcourse prefer if the users don't have to change the setup every time
they connect. On the other hand if they use the VT100 keymap I _assume_
that they can't remap keys to the VT220 functions keys.
Is there an explaination of why the keypad is forced to 'application' when
the VT220 keymap is used but not for VT100?
The customer also noticed that when changing the keypad to numeric the
enter key is no longer mapped to the 3270 enter but to TAB, is this
correct? This was done with a modified VT220 keymap.

Sure they can. Defining a keymap to default VT100 only determines the
starting definitions of the keymaps. You cn proceed to remap them as
you like.

I believe this was to match the behavior of the terminals.

This is due to starting with the VT100 default keymaps instead of
VT220.

Is it correct that I can only map keys to the keypads application mode?
Is it also correct that I can't get the keypad when in application mode
to send 0-9 to the host.
The thing is that the customer wants to map PA1-PA3, CLEAR to PF1-PF4
and Enter to the Enter keys on the keypad. My understanding is that
this can only be done for if the keypad is used in application mode.
At the same time he wants to have the 0-9 keys on the keypad mapped
as that (0-9). My understanding is that this can only be done for if
the keypad is used in numeric mode.
As I understand it, this simply can't be done with DNAS TN3270
emulator, it that correct (I wouldn't mind it if I'm wrong)?

No, I think that if you are in numeric mode, 0-9 will be generated by
the number keys. Those can be mapped like any other keys.

Yes.

I agree.

I agree.

Sorry, but I think you are correct here.
