Darrell Shavey CSC32::D_SHAVEY DTN 592-4712 Problem: Windows NT v4.0 (on a server and a workstation) DRAS V1.0A installs fine and the DRASSRV install executes fine. When we try to start up the dras service, we get: Could not start the remote access security service on xxxxxxx Filename, directory name, or volume label are not correct This happens on both an Windows NT 4.0 server and workstation. For what it is worth this is on an NTFS partition. Also I could not find the MFC40.dll file in the /windows/system directory. Any ideas?

I would suspect an incorrect entry in the registry. You could use regedit.exe and check the registry entry under the key: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services]RemoteAccessSecurity and verify that the ImagePath entry is correct. mfc40.dll should be in subdirectory system32, not in system.
