    DNAS install on Digital Unix does not work with commands in the manual.
    
    Here is what I had to do:

Yeah, we know.  To quote from page 2 of the DNAS V2.0 Cover Letter:

	INSTALLATION

	To install the software on the DECserver Network Access Software V2.0
	CD-ROM, insert it into the system's CD-ROM drive, mount the CD-ROM,
	and start the installation procedure using the commnads in the
	following table.  This information supercedes the same information
	in the OS-specific installation guides, for the CD-ROM distribution
	only.

This was our first experience with the release of a multi-OS, one-size-fits-
all, ISO 9660 CD-ROM.  So we weren't able to get all the details right in 
the installation guides, before theey went to press (prior to releasing the
CD-ROM master to SSB).

Sorry.  But _read_ those cover letters!  (As well as the release notes...)

    of the cover letters for the DNAS or DRAS install on Digital Unix

They come in the box with the media.  When I sent you folks the CD-ROMs, I
forgot to include the cover letters.  I don't think they are in the standard
on-line docs areas.  I'll have to ask the docs group for a pointer.  The
Part Number is AV-QZKRA-TE for DNAS and AV-QWW4A-TE for DRAS, if that helps.
They are on-demand-print documents in the SSB.

The docs group came through with one (thanks, Joan).  However I have copied
the cover letters to an area on IROCZ.  The system management of TNPUBS is
infamous for deleting public docs areas.  So now that we've been burned a
few times, I don't post pointers to that node anymore.  :-)
