Hi, We are participating on a BID that requires that the routers comply with the RFC 1542. The most recent SPD that I found doesn't list this RFC. Do the RouteAbout comply with this RFC ? I need it documented somewhere. Thanks in advance. Evaldo. DEC/NPB/Brazil [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

Hi Evaldo,
We almost support all rfc 1542 aspect except one.( until recently)
If u have Comet or older version, "giaddr" field will be
filled with outgoing IP address instead of incoming ip address as
defined in rfc. This was fixed in fixkit2. So image from fixkit2
should be 100% compliance with rfc 1542.
This one was IPMT case for RouteAbout and DECSwitch 900EF.
