Hi there, When I only need the ATM port of VN EA connected to backplane, do I need to order the ATM PMD? Same with VN EF? Thanks, eric [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

When backplane ATM connections are supported, you will not need the PMD. However, the backplane ATM connections are not supported in the current release of the firmware (V1.5). Backplane ATM connections have some restrictions: 1) Early motherboards for seeds and early ships (pre rev-F motherboards) will not support backplane connections at all and 2) backplane connections only work to ATMswitch 900, they can not be used to connect two EA modules. | |||||
