What is the normal LED status when you want to use the A/M port as M-port? When setting the FDDI interface to station-type SAC, the LED on the A/M-port went from flashing to black, and the B/S port LED went from flashing to steady green. I want to connect one server to the A/M-port, and I guess I need to set the station-type to SAC, right? Bjrn Olav Haugom NPBU Norway

>What is the normal LED status when you want to use the A/M port as M-port? Appendix A of the DVNEF Installation manual has the LED descriptions. This manual is on the NPB web page. >I want to connect one server to the A/M-port, and I guess I need to set the >station-type to SAC, right? It depends. Use SAC for a tree configuration. Use DAS for a full ring connection. Dan |
