Hi there, 1) Do we do free upgrade from V1 to V2 for customer? 2) Do we need to order the VLAN routing software of V2 separate? or it be fix in the released product? Thanks in advance, eric

Are you talking about upgrading a DECswitch 900 EE/EF? If so, the upgrade is not free (but pretty cheap). For the DECswitch, port group VLANs come as a integral part of V2 (ie no extra charge). It's somewhat confusing because we also have VNswitch out there with V1 and a planned V2. Tim | |||||

The current plan is that the VNswitch v2 routing image must be ordered as a separate upgrade to the base product (which comes with the bridging-only image installed). The routing image will be an additional cost. Chris |
