     hello,
    
     i try to download an Routeabout(V2.0.2) from Serial line using
     Bootp relay ,easystart, features and Router Configurator V2.0-230
     bootp function.
    
     my config should be something like that
    
    
      EW //////WAN PPP////EW          PC/NT Router Configurator
      !                   !           !
    =====                 =============
    Ethernet              Ethernet
    
     all seem configured as well in bootp.init , request comes on The PC
      but loops forever with window error message on Router Configurator
      "Error During automation of the Cleavisn Router Configurator
       exeption status 8002000F"
    
    see here under a trace of bootp log under Router Configurator
    
    did you  already tested this kind of config ?
    what i have missing ?

	Firstly the Automation problem, "Error During automation of the Cleavisn Router Configurator exeption status 8002000F" I note that you are using an old Beta release, (V2.0-230) 27 Sep 96. You realy need to upgrade to the latest Router config kits, and definitely a non beta kit, ie anything newer than V2.0-0 310. From memory one of the earlier Beta kits did have mismatching OLE Diapatch ID's between the BootP server and the configurator, which would cause an exception. Kits can be obtained from http://www-engreo.reo.dec.com/ipeg/lcm/config95/REL_V020/index.html or http://npbwww.hpn.lkg.dec.com/dr/crc or http://www.networks.digital.com/dr/crc The released kits have fixes to the BootP code to prevent it blocking on OLE processing and modified dispatch tables that will work with clearVISN V20 (when it ships). A newer kit may fix both your problems, if it doesnt then you have a second and probably more significant problem, that the TFTP part of the load is not working. You need to have the following set up in your configuration: EW-B //////WAN PPP////EW-A PC/NT Router Configurator ! ! ! ===== ============= Ethernet Ethernet Settings for ~~~~~ EW-B EasyStart Neighbour IP address defined for the LOAD PC - (Must be OK from your listing) A WAN Interface address defined. EW-A IP Routing turhed on, enabled on WAN and ethernet to the PC A WAN Interface address for the WAN link to EW-B for the same subnet as EW-B BootP relay configured with the address of the BootP server (PC) - (Must be OK from your listing) If there are no obvious cures above then you will need to get more information, and in particular, the console output log from the router being loaded (EW-B).
