Hi in the ISDN chapter of the v2.0 Routing Protocols Reference Guide (20.1.6), there is a reference to Call Verification. It mentions a proprietry caller ID protocol, where the ISDN service provides the number of the incoming call and that call is then matched to a dial circuit. is this the same as CLI and if so was it available in v1.x. I can find no reference to it in earlier versions of the documentation. thanks Paul Smith

Hi Paul, LID exchange only works between EI90s and requires the call to be connected. In earier versions, there was no CLI to allow this feature to be turned off. If you turn LID off (send LID no), you can use Calling Line ID (CLID) facility provided by the network (at a cost). The CLID is matched against the Inbound dst name of the dial circuit. Steve, thanks for the prompt reply, I found what you were referring to on a v2 box Config>net 4 Circuit configuration Circuit Config>list all Base net: 2 Destination name: raei Inbound dst name: * ANY * Outbound calls allowed Inbound calls allowed Idle timer = 60 sec SelfTest Delay Timer = 150 ms Send Line ID: YES Many thanks Paul. |
