As previous notes mentioned that Routeabout V2.0 will support 'new featues' in x.25. The customer used the Digital UNIX as x.25 client/access to access the remote x.25 thru PSDN. Also he wants to use the OSI/FTAM function software. Does it support LLC2 access? Or does it provide GAP from OpenVMS x25 clients access? We knew the x.25 router 2000 had been pahsed out and the DECnis 500 is more expensive for small applciation. We knew direc controller in host base is a solution too.

The V2.0 software supports X25 switching (relay) between an LLC2 DTE and a PSDN. It does NOT support the GAP protocol. | |||||

OSI/FTAM, using CONS conenctions, should work fine in an LLC2/Relay environment. Configure the host to use the X.25/LLC2 DTE just as a "real" PSDN connections. Then configure the RouteAbout to switch the packets from the LLC2 link out over the PSDN. Mark |
