ICMP Router Discovery Messages
Abstract
This document specifies an extension of the Internet Control Message
Protocol (ICMP) to enable hosts attached to multicast or broadcast
networks to discover the IP addresses of their neighboring routers.
nothing to do with HP at all.
The answer remains the same (this is the RFC we guessed you meant). RouteAbout
will process received messages in HOST mode but it doesn't send them when it is
a router.
Perhaps you could put in a request for the addition of such functionality
indicating how much business depends on its presence.
John
