My customer is trying to get the controlling tty device, pr_ttydev, from the 
prpsinfo structure returned by the PIOCPSINFO ioctl. However this field always 
returns "??".

Is this right?

    Well, ?? is the right answer sometimes!
    
    But if you get it for every process on the system, then
    something is indeed amiss.
    
    It works for me in a quick test on V4.0B. What's the customer running?
