hi,
AT one customer place I have installed Digital Unix 4.0
on 200/4/233.
Installation went through nicely.I created user by using adduser.
If i try to login as user on console it gives following error:
console logon for hostname
could not open console
warning:
name : dtTerm
class : dtTerm
unable to get pty.
For all user it is giving the same error.
For root their is no problem to logon from console.
Anybody can help me out to solve this problem.

There really isn't much we can do without any useful information.
Off the top of my head, the following might be useful:
- user account information from /etc/passwd
- contents of .login, .cshrc, and/or .profile files for user accounts
- type of console (graphical or tty?)
- ownership and protection of console device in /dev
- number of pty devices, ownership and protection for these as well
I'm probably forgetting something but that should do for starters.
