Hi, folks
I have a doubt about advfs and quota.
All outputs of syscheck script have a warning like the one below:
*****************************************************************************
Operational: Mount options userquota, groupquota should be added to all AdvFS
file systems in /etc/fstab regardless of whether quota enforcement is
enabled
*****************************************************************************
What does it mean exactly ? Should I write "userquota", "groupquota"
in fstab without "rq" ?
For example if I want quota for a file system, let say /usr, and don't
want for /usr1, so /usr line in fstab will be edited with
rq,userquota, groupquota, while /usr1 line will be almost equal dispite the
absence of "rq" ??
Thanks in advance for any clarification.
Regards

| Hi
this is discussed in the advfs notes file...
Advfs always uses quota data to maintain in use/free
space...regardless
of whether quotas are enforced or not.
You want [v]quotacheck to run on each system boot for the advfs file
sets to ensure the free space is correct. There are releases notes
about this also.
If you go to do this, you need to get a patched version of
[v]quotacheck,
as it has a problem when run with -a
I don't know the patch id for this...it does have a patch because I
use it myself...contact USEG (Charlie Franks) to get the details.

Hi, Schott
I don't know how to contact Charlie Franks.
Can you send me more details, may be offlined ?
Thanks for your attention.
Regards.
