This isn't probably the right conference where to ask but I couldn't find a better one ... I was looking for a software able to watch if another machine is up and running or just died, and to eventually start a recovery. I found on the UNIX layered product (OCT '96) a product called: DECWATCHDOG/Autopilot for DEC OSF1 that seemed to fit my requirement. Unfortunately it looks like this piece of software is no longer orderable. Does someone know the status of this software? Has it been retired even if it's still on CD? Is there some other software that can provide the same functionality? Thanks for any info you can provide? giovanni
