From a customer bid: - Is it possible to remove/supress the "slow start algorithm"? Since I note we conform to RFC 1122 in a "must" capacity - I was wondering whether the "must" also allows the selective removal/supression of that facility. - RFC 2018 (SACK) - do we conform/implement? This isn't in the SPD so my gut feel is "no" - anyone care to confirm/deny? Thanks, Simon

9980.1 | there will soon be a fix for slowstart | NNTPD::"[email protected]" | Farrell Woods | Fri May 30 1997 11:23 | 14 |
In V4.0D we will have a fix for "slowstart" that will allow you to increase the number of segments initially sent. There will also soon be a patch for the earlier 4.0* releases of Digital UNIX that also contains this fix. This item will be part of the so-called "mondo 2" patch. Stay tuned to this conference or to the "bosnet" home page for announcement of the patch: http://www.zk3.dec.com/bosnet/ I don't have information on the other item. Perhaps someone else in the group does. -- Farrell [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] | |||||
