9968.0. "max-vnodes value" by TKTV20::ASANO () Wed May 28 1997 08:50

Hi.

I have two question about 'max-vnodes'.

1.
My Workstation (DEC300/500) has 96Mbyte memory.
When I execute 'sysconfig -q vfs', following results was apperaed.
How shall I calculate 'max-vnodes' 's value?
As additional information, this machine is not set the 'max-vnodes' value
any. ( For example, /etc/sysconfigtab )
Perhaps, 'max-vnodes = 10000' is this machine default value, may be.
According to manual, this value is that maximum is the number of vnodes that
will fit into 5 percent of available memory.

2,
I want to know limit value of 'max-vnodes'.
If there is the limit value, please teach me how to calculate this value.
