On the latest patch kit from guru
patches.osf-v3.2de2-23jan1997.tar.Z there is no mention of this patch id's
this is in reference to CFS_49545 in particular

Closing this case with the agreement of Kenji Noguchi and Satoshi Asara.
On systems with an ATI Mach64 graphics card, sometimes the monitor will
lose synchronization or become stuck in power-save mode.
Patches were provided to the customer for Digital UNIX V3.2A and V3.2C.
The patches will be made available to the CSCs with the following patch

This problem is fixed in the Digital UNIX PTC release (tenatively named
V4.0D).
anybody have a pointer to these patches or will I need to IPMT this for
clarification
customer would like an official patch for v3.2d-2

From the 3.2d-2 readme for the latest kits. A simple find for Mach found this.... sounds similar... but it depends which files where patched in your original one (more often than not nowadays the readme describes *some* of the problems the patches fix. BTW are you talking about 3.2d-2 or 3.2d-e2 - you have the patches for one and talk about the other.....
