From the 3.2d-2 readme for the latest kits.
A simple find for Mach found this.... sounds similar...
but it depends which files where patched in your original
one (more often than not nowadays the readme describes
*some* of the problems the patches fix.
BTW are you talking about 3.2d-2 or 3.2d-e2 - you have the patches
for one and talk about the other..... I realise there's not much
difference but sometimes that can be the problem.

the display on the second screen is corrupted at 1280x1024 resolution.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
The following instructions assume the patched files are in directory
/patches.
Become superuser and enter the following commands:
# cd /usr/shlib/X11
# cp /patches/lib_dec_ati64.so lib_dec_ati64.so.new
# chown bin:bin lib_dec_ati64.so.new
# chmod 444 lib_dec_ati64.so.new
# ln lib_dec_ati64.so lib_dec_ati64.so.orig
# mv lib_dec_ati64.so.new lib_dec_ati64.so
To start using this patch, you must stop and restart the X server. Note
that this will close all of the windows and log you out of the session
on the workstation monitor. To do this, you can either login on the
workstation monitor or login to the workstation from another machine.
Then become superuser and enter the following commands:
# /sbin/init.d/xdm stop
If you have logged in on the workstation monitor, press Return a few
times until you see the login prompt. Then login as root.
# /sbin/init.d/xdm start; exit
