9876.0. "Question about shmem limits" by HYDRA::MARSON (Barry Marson (Software Partner Engineering - SPE) MRO1-2/K5) Mon May 19 1997 12:59
Is it possible in DUNIX to allocate/attach more than 4 GB of shared memory
(via multiple segments)? I realize (or suspect) that IPC limits the
segment size to 2 Gig. Can we map numerous segments to a VM space? If
so, we think we have found a bug in either shmat or malloc. I'll post
the example if it's allowable.
Any help is most appreciated.
Thanks,
Barry Marson
