Hi everyone
There is a customer complaining about space needed in root partition,
in order to do an upgrade from 3.2c to 4.0.
In fact he started with less space that it was needed, but in the end
he was with more then what SPD says and the update procedure still complained
about space. I'll post below his sequence of events.
Started with only 6 Mbytes free
He released 12 Mbytes.
Procedure asked for more 5 Mbytes
He released 10 Mbytes
Procedure asked for 1.5 Mbytes
He stoped.
In SPD it says that the maximum amount needed would be :
************************************************************************
File V3.2C V4.0 Incremental Space Needed
System Mandatory Mandatory
ONLY ONLY
/ 30MB 42MB 12MB
/usr 139MB 225MB 86MB
*File V3.2C All V4.0 All Incremental Space Needed
System Subsets Subsets
/ 42MB 54MB 12MB
/usr 276MB 375MB 99MB
/var 5.9MB 6.1MB .2MB
*********************************************************************
Thanks in advance for any explanation.
