Digital UNIX 4.0B A customer who did use the librarian command "ar rcl" descover that this is generating all a set of vXXXxxxxxx files which size is equal to the library one. In fact, looking to my system where we use the command "ar rc", I found such files into the /tmp directory. I don't know if this is a new behaviour or if it is expected to behave like this, but the problem is that is easily fill the disk during major development rebuild ! Any hints ? Thanks in advance, Michle.

QAR 46095 looks similar, but says this only happens if ar is interrupted (via ^C or some other signal). There are no known problems other than this one. If you can reproduce a problem (I couldn't), please file a QAR/IPMT so that it can be addressed. |
