    Hi there,
    
    I have a customer which is complain with the product Unicenter PA-DC,
    that is not working on a 8400 SMP (6 CPUs) running DU V4.0A. Whenever
    the product is started he gets the message:
    
     "Failed to initialize access to /dev/kmem"
    
    The same product  works quite fine on an Alphastation 255 running the
    same version of Digital Unix.
    I found a patch on our TIMA database that seems to address the problem:
    OSF400-048 then replaced by OSF400-165, but these patches are for DU
    V4.0.
    
    Questions are:
    
    1) Is there anyone out there that knows about the problem/solution ?
    
    2) Is it possible/correct to apply the above patch on DU V4.0A ?
