9696.0. "two questions on V3.2C" by HGOSPS::MICKWIDLAM () Fri May 02 1997 01:12
A customer with Unix V3.2C has two questions:
1. his system has two swap areas. One is smaller (say 200M) and one is
larger (say 300M). The utilization is similar on both swaps (as
expected). When the small swap was nearly full but the large swap still
got lot of space, the system still prompted swap space below 10% free.
I would like to ask, is this message indicated only one swap area,
while the large swap will continue to use? I mean, will this message be
prompted as long as the small swap is full?
2. he use "ps awux" to display process information. He found that the
RSS display got truncated. I found similar problem reported on TIMA
STARS and said to refer to QAR #45502. Is there anyone know about that?
Customer also said the CPU time also got the minute field truncated.
Regards,
Mickwid.

If the customer is not using lazy swap, is it a normal behaviour?
