9678.0. "Still struggling with mail setup?" by OHFSS1::KANNAPAREDDY () Wed Apr 30 1997 11:54

    	Greetings Folks,
I finally got "MX" record set up for my host, but I still
am NOT able to recieve mail from the outside. See note 9539.*
    	(Thanks tom).
Is there something that I need to do with mailsetup. Or
given this scenario, How can I get mail to
"[email protected]". Here is the output from "nslookup".
Also I am secondary "DNS" server if that makes any difference?

    	cheers
    	Thanks
    	Mohan

You might find it easier to follow the discussion if you simply "REPLY"
to each topic instead of starting a new topic each time with "WRITE". I
know I would. The previous strings are 9510.* and 9539.*

You haven't added MX records for the firewall gateway relays, as
described in 9539.1. Your DNS entry should like something like:

    	$ORIGIN det.dec.com.
    	axp165	IN	A	16.75.160.165
    		IN	MX	100	axp165.det.dec.com.
    		IN	MX	200 mail11.digital.com.
    		IN MX 200 mail12.digital.com.
    		IN MX 200 mail13.digital.com.

Thanks again tom. Sorry about the "NEW" notes. As you can see I am
a "newbie" using VAX notes. Now that I know I will be more
     appropiate.
    	cheers
