9673.0. "SHMMAX measurement" by ZURCLO::GUY () Wed Apr 30 1997 08:31

    How is SHMMAX measured, is it in bytes or in pages ?
    I did not find any answer in UNIX documentation.

The size specified in the sysconfigtab, I believe is in bytes.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Is the measurement in bytes definetely a DIGITAL UNIX default or is it
    changeable in pages,

The unit of shmmax is bytes and is indirectly dictated by the shared memory
interfaces defined by the X/Open standards group. We cannot change the unit.
