I have a pair of rack mounted 2100/A's. They are setup with a MC hub (not virtual). It seems every other day or every two days the same member crashes. I got rid of the AdvFS gui deamon because that was causing a SCSI cam error on this machine every five minuets and it was filling up the loggs. I though that this would cure the crash problem too, but alas it did not. It seems that starting cmon (remotely) can also cause the system to crash. Has anyone had similar problems? Mark, standard procedure: - obtain the crash-data files - send them to the CANASTA Mail Server (for instructions see note 8919) - if there is no rule match or pointer to another escalation, raise IPMT Volker. | |||||

Thanks Volker, but no can do 'classified site...'. I was asking just to see if this was or had been a common occurance. I've traced the DECEvent messages to a bad MC card. Hopefully a new Memory Channel card will do the trick. [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] |
