    Hello,
    
    One of our customer is using Digital Unix 4.0. They report having some
    problem in using the NFS on the Digital Unix.
    
    First, on their other Unix machines, SUN or Linux, they NFS export a
    drive.
    
    Then, on the Alphaserver, they mount the remote exported drive. This
    works ok.
    
    And then, they try to execute some commands on the mounted drive like
    "ls -R". At this stage, the process stops or appears hangs. They
    reported that previously, they Alphaserver may even crash. Then they
    apply a patch. The crash does not happen again but this hanging problem
    persists.
    
    Please advise on the resolution.
