| When running Enhanced Security, you can set a user's password to expire
by using the u_exp field in his protected password database entry (see
"man prpasswd.4" and/or run dxaccounts). You can set a user's account to
expire by using the u_expdate field in his protected password database entry.
You can set the time at which notification will be sent to the user prior
to both of these events by setting the d_pw_expire_warning field in the
default file (see "man default.4").
If you want to do separate notification intervals or do any special
processing, you could easily create a script (to be run daily by root
or automatically through crontab), that checks either of these time
periods and does whatever you want.

9550.3 | V4.0 | NNTPD::"[email protected]" | Ann Majeske | Tue Apr 22 1997 11:12 | 6 |
| Sorry,
dxaccounts is new for V4.0. For V3.2* the GUI you should use is
XSysAdmin and XIsso. Check out the Security Manual for info on
what these are and how to use them.
