Greetings folks,
I have this strange problem, I can send mail to "outside"
world and "inside" (all .dec.com) world.
I can recive mail form all "*.dec.com" domains, but I
cannot recieve any mail from the outside world?
what I have done wrong. I am running DU V4.0B, on a
DEC 3000 workstation.
to be more precise:
from my exchange account [email protected]
to "[email protected]" ( The mail is recived)
from my ford account "[email protected]" to
"[email protected]" is NOT received??
And I get mail back at "ford.com" saying
"deferred: No route to host"?
So i thought it is "MX" record problem, but I think "MX"
records are there for my workstation "axp165". Here is a

| I think the message:
*** No mail exchanger (MX) records available for axp165.det.dec.com
Means that there are no MX records for axp165.det.dec.com. Without
them, mail from outside dec.com will not find a path to
axp165.det.dec.com. The MX records for det.dec.com only apply to mail
sent to [email protected].
