Hello, booting our lps20 with tcp/ip works /usr/adm/syslog.dated/15-Apr-11:03/>>>grep tftpd daemon.log ... Apr 15 16:14:14 h5j01 tftpd[13091]: sending file /tftpboot/lps.sys Apr 15 16:14:36 h5j01 tftpd[13091]: finished sending /tftpboot/lps.sys ... but then the lps only shows its HW-address and VAXELN V4.5 LPS. ============================================================== />>>lpc stat lps20 lps20: printer is on device '/dev/null-lps20' speed -1 queuing is enabled printing is enabled 1 entry in spool area PrintServer host donp01 not available: Printer not accepting jobs btw, we use 'PrintServer Software for OSF/1 AXP' V5.1 on Digital UNIX V4.0 Any help is welcome! If the printer remains in this stage for more than 30 seconds, you need to check the management client process in the supporting host system. When the printer's console shows "VAXELN...," the printer is still in process of booting and you cannot print yet. You can ping to printer but that's about all you can do from standard UNIX componets at this point. Run /etc/lpssetup provided by V5.1 software and check the management client status. I assume you have already used this script to define all the necessary components. Check the installation guide and mangement guide for more information. K. Suruga | |||||
