Digital UNIX V4.0B Oracle 7.3.2.3 I am about to install D-UNIX V4.0B with associated dupatch (27-feb-1997) at a customer site. Are there any patches for D-UNIX, specifically associated with Oracle, that we furnish? I ask because: 1. My customer asked me to check. 2. Back in Dec 96, I remember a patch for Digital UNIX (something to do with kernel io) for INformix db systems, that was not part of the tar kit at the time. I just want to cover all bases. TIA, Kris.

If you are running Oracle OPS on an 8200, there IS a patch for a drd problem. This does NOT affect 8400s, as long as there is a CPU in slot 0 (which is impossible on an 8200 since there is no slot 0). Other than that, there are no patches other that the current set. I have a customer runnint Oracle 7.3.2.3 and V4.0B DUNIX just fine. /jim | |||||

And if your customer has any ProC code good luck! Oracle 7.3.2.2 installed on Digital UNIX V4.0x will not even compile the ProC examples that Oracle provides on their install CD!! (Does Oracle know how to spell QA?) You are going to need some patches from Oracle. Ram |
